Sapling Plantation Drive

To compensate for all the paper consumed over the years, the Veni Rao Foundation in collaboration with CHIREC International organized a ‘Sapling Plantation Drive’ on World Environment Day 2019. With the goal of planting 1080 saplings in a month, the campaign kickstarted on June 4, 2019.

The students of the CHIREC E3 club, along with the teacher representatives, planted around 40 saplings at the medians opposite CHIREC’s Kondapur campus.

They also collected and properly disposed of all the trash lying near the medians. Inspired by the students’ initiative, many residents of the area came forward to support the drive by planting saplings and giving back to Mother Nature
