Learning Life Skills through Football

With the motto Everyone Plays, Everyone Learns, the Veni Rao Foundation in collaboration with Enabling Leadership has initiated the Just for Kicks Programme for the students at the government school in Masjid Banda, this academic year. Just for Kicks works in under-resourced schools to help children garner multiple benefits of leadership development through football.

The students participated in a year-round training followed by national leagues through a flagship curriculum that combines life skills with football drills. We had an exemplary season of Just for Kicks, where 2 of our 4 teams from our adopted government school, MPPS Kondapur, qualified for the semi-finals in their very first year! Not only did our teams make it to the semi-finals, but the Under-10 boys’ team also won the “Team of the Season ” Award in the Hyderabad Region.
