Awareness on Good Touch & Bad Touch at MPPS Mudfort, Secunderabad

The Human Rights Watch reports that more than 7,200 children, including infants, are raped every year in India; experts believe that many more cases go unreported. With sexual abuse being such a large-scale problem, it is important to sensitize all children to good touch and bad touch.  Though such topics can be uncomfortable, it is essential to shed our inhibitions and make children aware on how to keep themselves safe.

Veni Rao Foundation organized this session in collaboration with Teach For India to for students of MPPS Mudfort, Secunderabad on 18th December 2020. Ms. Uma Maheshwari, Counselor at CHIREC International School, volunteered for the talk and found the students very engaged and receptive to the session.
