Intending to develop well-rounded children through character building, physical development, creativity enhancement, and building moral values, the Veni Rao Foundation in collaboration with CHIREC International has initiated weekly cocurricular sessions for the students of the three adopted government schools of Masjid Banda, Anjaiahnagar, and Gopinagar. These activities are conducted in CHIREC’s main campus wherein CHIREC students from grade VI to IX conduct classes through well-designed customized learning modules for the government school students from grade II to grade V. Over 148 CHIREC students are involved in this project benefitting about 826 government school students.
These activities were conducted on weekly basis from August 2019 to December 2019. By the end of the programme, the students from the government school not only discovered new skills, but also developed a strong, emotional bonds with students from CHIREC. This programme served as a two-way learning platform, evolving the persona of students from both schools.
